PRIJEDOR, June 1 (FENA) – With a peaceful walk through the pedestrian zone, the citizens of Prijedor yesterday marked White Armband Day in remembrance of May 31, 1992, when the non-Serb population of the city was ordered to mark their homes with white sheets and to wear white armbands—an act that preceded mass crimes against Bosniaks and Croats.
