Ten cyclists headed towards the Potočari Memorial Center to pay their respects to the victims of the Srebrenica genocide and attend the collective funeral.
"In this way, the members of the Goražde Cycling Club cherish the memory of Srebrenica, and the 170-kilometer long marathon is attended by younger members, to whom we strive to convey the culture of remembrance, because it is our moral obligation towards the victims of genocide, with the wish that something like this never happens again to anyone," said the president of Goražde Cycling Club Adnan Efendić.
He noted that the marathon participants are expected to arrive in Potočare tonight.
Marathon runners from Goražde, who laid flowers and paid tribute to the victims of Žepa last night, started their journey towards Potočari yesterday, and the marathon "Goražde – Žepa – Srebrenica" continued today towards Potočari.
